Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will provide each other with embassy buildings for free. The law has been signed

President Sadyr Japarov has signed a law regarding the ratification of an agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. This document, signed on August 22, 2025, in Bishkek, regulates the mutual gratuitous provision of buildings and land plots in the capitals of the two states — Bishkek and Astana — for the needs of embassies and residences of plenipotentiary ambassadors.

Adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, 2026, the law aims to simplify the internal procedures necessary for the agreement to come into force.

According to this agreement, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will provide each other with the necessary premises and land plots for the operation of their embassies, as well as for the residence of ambassadors.
The law will come into effect seven days after its official publication.
