The project implementation is scheduled for April 2026 as part of the modernization of the energy infrastructure being carried out by the Ministry of Energy.
The project includes the following:
- installation of a second power transformer with a capacity of 10 MVA;
- installation of a gas-insulated switchgear at 110 kV;
- installation of a complete outdoor switchgear (KRU) at 10 kV with 10 vacuum circuit breakers.
Currently, there is one power transformer operating at the substation with a capacity of 16 MVA. After the installation of the new equipment, the total capacity of the substation will increase to 26 MVA, as reported in the release.
The enterprise notes that in recent years, the number of consumers continues to grow. If in 2023 the substation served about 4,400 subscribers, now their number has increased to 4,625.
Funding for the project will be provided from the own funds of JSC "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan."
