As part of the new strategy, the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy" will begin centralized procurement of medicines and medical devices from the beginning of 2026, based on a list approved by the Ministry of Health.
Some purchases this year will be conducted through UN mechanisms, which will allow for the acquisition of about 30 types of medical products and devices directly from manufacturers. This model aims to eliminate intermediaries, guarantee compliance of products with international quality standards, including WHO standards, and create competitive pricing conditions through participation in global procurements.
Currently, the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy" is actively preparing to conclude contracts. According to preliminary estimates, the implementation of the new procurement model is expected to result in savings of about 410 million soms compared to the previous year.
The procurement policy for 2026 will focus on reducing medicine prices, ensuring their quality and stability of supply, as well as more effective use of public finances.
