In Kyrgyzstan, 14 projects under public-private partnership have been successfully completed, attracting a total investment of $3.9 billion. This information was announced by Ulan Danilbekov, the Deputy Director of the Public-Private Partnership Center, during a radio address.

One of the most significant projects, according to Danilbekov, is the construction of an alternative tunnel called "Kelechek" at the Töö-Ashuu pass. A total of $640 million has been allocated for the implementation of this project, and project design and preparatory activities are currently underway.

Danilbekov emphasized that the tunnel will feature the implementation of a dual system and modern engineering solutions. Its length will exceed 11 km. "This will significantly improve traffic flows and ensure safety on the roads, especially during the winter and in adverse weather conditions," he added.

The implementation of this project will provide safe and uninterrupted transportation, as the tunnel will allow bypassing the highest point of the pass, which, in turn, will greatly enhance the transport accessibility of the region.
