In the Talas Region, archaeologists discovered over 3,000 new heritage sites in 2025
In the Manas district of the Talas region, archaeologists conducting research over an area of 50,000 hectares made a significant discovery — more than 3,000 new cultural heritage sites. This became known through reports from K. Akmatov, an archaeologist, during a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, Mirbek Mambetaliev.
During the meeting, key issues regarding the conduct of archaeological work in the context of changing land use and the preservation of historical and cultural heritage were discussed, as reported by the ministry's press service.
The minister emphasized the need to improve joint efforts for the effective conduct of research during periods of active construction activity. He also suggested selecting one district in each region for comprehensive studies.
Archaeologists noted that timely maps and documentation related to land plots are critically important for successful work.
In conclusion, Mirbek Mambetaliev stressed the importance of continuing work in 2025 by selecting one district from each of the seven regions of the country for further research.
