The served individuals include:
• 3,819 lonely elderly citizens;
• 2,313 people with disabilities;
• 350 couples;
• 2,971 families in difficult life situations.
Social workers provide support to elderly individuals living alone, as well as to citizens with disabilities, married couples, and families facing challenging circumstances. Their assistance includes addressing everyday issues and providing psychological and social support.
Each specialist visits their clients at least twice a week, following an individual schedule approved by the head of the department. This approach ensures high-quality care and timely assistance to those in need.
To receive home social assistance services, a written request must be submitted by local self-government bodies, neighbors, or relatives of the person in need. The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration continues to work on improving the quality and accessibility of social services.
