As of January 1, 2026, 854 social workers operating in urban, district, and inter-district departments of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic provide home services to 9,452 citizens in need of social support.

Of these:

Social workers assist elderly individuals living alone, citizens with limited mobility, couples, and families facing serious life challenges. They help with everyday issues and provide psychological and social support.

Each social worker visits their clients at least twice a week, based on an individual schedule approved by the management of the department. This approach helps ensure quality care and timely assistance to those in need.

To receive home assistance, a written request must be submitted by local self-government bodies, neighbors, or relatives of the citizen in need. The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration continues its efforts to improve the accessibility and quality of social services.
