During a working visit to the Osh region, Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in the opening of a new school building in the village of Zhyaldy in the Uzgen district.
According to information provided by the Cabinet of Ministers, the new school is designed for 275 students and is equipped with modern classrooms, a library, a cafeteria, and all necessary infrastructure.
Kasymaliev noted that the previous building served the village for 50 years. A total of 152 million soms were allocated from the republican budget for the construction of the new facility.
“The main wealth of our state is an educated people. In the modern world, management is carried out not by force, but by knowledge. We strive to create all conditions for providing quality education and upbringing, following global trends and paying attention to the sustainable development of the education system. As is known, one of the priority tasks set by President Sadyr Japarov is to improve the quality of education and create the necessary conditions. This year, 16 new schools have been put into operation in the Osh region,” he added.
In his speech, Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of improving the quality of education for the country's development and announced plans to increase teachers' salaries starting in April of this year.
“The budgetary capabilities allow us to raise salaries for teachers, doctors, and cultural workers. This is already the second time in recent years that teachers' wages have been increased. New schools and salary reforms must go hand in hand with quality education,” concluded Adylbek Kasymaliev.
