There are about 20 ski resorts operating in Kyrgyzstan
According to information provided by Erdenet Kasymov, the director of the Department of Tourism, there are about 20 ski resorts in Kyrgyzstan, which are generally located in the Chui, Issyk-Kul, and Osh regions. In an interview with the program "Elden Sobol" of the Kabar agency, he noted that during the current winter season, between 10 to 12 resorts are actively operating, and at the beginning of January, they were visited by about 4,000 people daily.
Kasymov also reported that various initiatives are being implemented to expand the tourism offerings. The country has an Association of Ski Instructors that organizes competitions and festivals aimed at promoting winter tourism.
