In January, the economy of Kyrgyzstan showed growth

Additional data shows that a significant increase in production volumes is also observed in sectors such as the rubber and plastics industry, construction (up by 25.7%), as well as in the chemical products sector (up by 38.9%), vehicle manufacturing (up by 36.1%), and refined petroleum products (up by 21.1%). The production of food products and tobacco increased by 13.6%, while pharmaceuticals grew by 8.9%.

Compared to December 2025, in January 2026, there was a 0.8% increase in consumer prices and tariffs. In particular, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.0%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.8%, and non-food goods by 0.5%. Tariffs for services to the population increased by 0.7%.

The largest price increase of 1.3% was recorded in the Batken region, where service tariffs rose by 2.6%. In Bishkek, there was a 1.4% increase in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages, while in the Jalal-Abad region, non-food goods increased by 1.2%.

The volume of external and mutual trade of the Kyrgyz Republic from January to December 2025 amounted to 15.8 billion US dollars, which is 10.2% less compared to the same period in 2024. At the same time, exports decreased by 44.5%, while imports increased by 3.9%.

As for mutual trade with the EAEU countries, in 2025 it amounted to 5.9 billion dollars, which is 7.7% more compared to the previous year. The main volumes of mutual trade were with Russia (64.9%) and Kazakhstan (31.5%).
