Among the completed works are 1,545 km that have been paved, as well as the construction of 11 major bridges.
Bazaraliev also noted that the total budget of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for 2025 amounted to 57 billion soms, which is a significant increase compared to 22 billion soms in 2024.
The budget increase was made possible by:
- capital investments,
- funding from the Road Fund,
- resources from the Stabilization Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic allocated for major projects.
“The formation of the budget was also made possible thanks to the Road and Stabilization Funds, whose resources were directed towards the implementation of large-scale projects,” he explained.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that over the past two years, there have been changes in the structure of financing road construction. Previously, a significant portion of large projects was financed through foreign investments and donor funds, whereas now the main focus is on domestic financing.
“Previously, most large projects were funded by donors. In the last two years, about 80% of road construction is covered by the republican budget,” Bazaraliev added.
This, according to him, has made it possible to implement projects comparable in scale to investment ones.
