- In 2025, at the request of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, at least 10 charging stations were established across the country, and the plan has been fully implemented. This was reported by the Deputy General Director of OJSC "Chakan HPP" Kanat Askeev on the radio.

According to Askeev, in 2026, an expansion of the infrastructure for electric vehicles is planned. In particular, it involves the creation of 10 new locations where, depending on the area of the site, 2–3 charging stations will be installed.

“It is important to understand that we are talking about 10 locations, not 10 separate stations, and each of them will have several charging devices,” he added.

Currently, locations being considered include the city of Balakchy, the villages of Bokombaev and Tyup, as well as the popular resorts of Karakol and Cholpon-Ata. Work is also being carried out in the Naryn region, in addition to the Issyk-Kul region.

Last year, the company already installed 4 charging stations in Karakol and the Tyup district. As part of new projects, there are plans to install about 20 charging stations in total.
