President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, in his interview with the "Kabar" agency, responded to accusations that emerged on social media regarding possible abuses by some security service employees in the context of the fight against corruption and crime.
In particular, claims arose that a number of employees acted in their own interests, using the name of Kamchybek Tashiev to cover up their illegal actions.
Japarov noted that there is no practice in Kyrgyzstan of protecting those who violate the law, regardless of their position or status.
“The law always stands above everything in serving the people. This principle has applied even in cases involving our close ones. You yourselves have witnessed such situations,” the president emphasized.
He added that the law continues to operate, and no government official will be allowed to violate it for personal gain.“If cases are discovered where employees of the security services or other government institutions have exceeded their authority, these facts will be investigated, and those responsible will be held accountable. We are all equal before the law,” he concluded.
