On February 12 in Bishkek, an important meeting took place between Mirbek Mambetaliev, the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Andrea Bacher, the Ambassador of Austria to Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Culture reported that during this discussion, issues related to the development of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture and youth policy were addressed, as well as the possibilities for implementing joint cultural and humanitarian initiatives.
The discussion also focused on the prospects for expanding cooperation in the areas of vocational education, museum affairs, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
Mirbek Mambetaliev invited the Austrian delegation to actively participate in the VI World Nomad Games, scheduled for 2026 in Kyrgyzstan, as well as in events dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Issyk-Kul Forum named after Chyngyz Aitmatov.
As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed their interest in further strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Austria.
