Today, February 12, a ceremony was held in Bishkek to hand over the keys to new buses and special equipment, attended by Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to information provided by the government, 95 modern buses and 42 units of special equipment were handed over to the mayor's office at depot No. 1.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers stated: “Today we are handing over 95 new buses and 42 units of special equipment to the Bishkek mayor's office. This is a step towards improving public transport and urban services. The priority for the mayor's office remains the development of the city, improving the ecology, and creating comfortable conditions for residents. As part of this work, more than 17,000 trees have been planted, green zones have been expanded, and a modern eco-technology plant for waste disposal and electricity production has been launched.
Additionally, kindergartens and schools have been built in the city, underground passages have been created, and safe conditions for citizens have been ensured. All these activities are carried out systematically and purposefully,” he added.
Kasymaliev emphasized that work on strengthening the technical base of municipal enterprises will continue. He urged city service workers to responsibly use the new equipment and improve the quality of services provided.
“Each vehicle and unit of equipment is a resource for the residents of the city. Careful use and justifying the trust of the population is the direct responsibility of each of you,” he noted, adding that the new buses and special equipment will serve as a stimulus for the city's development and improve the work of municipal services.
It should be noted that the 12-meter Youtong buses were purchased under the program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Among the 42 units of special equipment acquired with budget funds are emergency vehicles, dump trucks, hydraulic cranes, and trench vibratory rollers.
