The National Bank emphasizes that efforts to increase the share of cashless transactions and implement new payment technologies are yielding significant results.
In 2025, 525.1 million transactions were carried out through the main operator, totaling 908.6 billion soms, which is 8 and 10 times higher than the figures for 2024, respectively.
It is important to note that Kyrgyzstan occupies a unique position in Central Asia, facilitating the integration of various payment systems using the national standard for QR codes. The ELQR system is already connected to 20 commercial banks and 14 payment organizations, making this initiative one of the first and significant achievements not only in the region but also within the EAEU.
The implementation of measures to develop QR payments in 2025 was an important step towards creating a modern infrastructure for cashless payments and laid the groundwork for the further development of the fast payment system.
