In 2025, the number of installed QR codes in trade and service enterprises amounted to 114.1 thousand, which is 95.3% more compared to the previous year.
The main operator processed 525.1 million transactions totaling 908.6 billion soms, which corresponds to an eightfold increase in the number of operations and a tenfold growth in volume compared to 2024.
Kyrgyzstan continues to be the only country in Central Asia where the integration of different payment systems is ensured based on the national standard for QR codes. The ELQR system includes 20 commercial banks and 14 payment organizations.
The National Bank noted that the activities carried out in 2025 were a key step in forming a relevant cashless infrastructure and laid the foundation for the further implementation of the fast payment system. Work in this direction will continue.
