In his speech, the mayor emphasized that the city hall takes into account the interests of both sides. On one hand, residential buildings where people live may be demolished, and on the other hand, the cemetery is an important place for many residents who visit it to pray and commemorate their loved ones.
It was also noted that an important aspect in the decision-making process was the presence of more than 50 burials that took place between 2022 and 2024. According to current sanitary regulations, exhumation and reburial within this timeframe are not permissible, as it may pose a risk of spreading infectious diseases and threaten public health.
In light of the above, a decision was made to construct a bypass road that will run past the cemetery, taking into account sanitary safety and the interests of residents, as well as considering the development of the capital.
