
The meeting held on February 6 between Kudaibergen Bazarbaev, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan, and the Akim of Astana, Zhenis Kasymbek, was an important step in strengthening ties between the two capitals.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported that the meeting discussed ways to implement previously reached agreements, as well as prospects for further cooperation between Bishkek and Astana.
The parties emphasized the construction of a new building for the Kyrgyz Embassy in Astana, as well as the expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties, including the organization of touring events and the development of contacts between relevant institutions.
Additionally, the participants exchanged views on issues of trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation, as well as discussed the possibility of mutual visits for the exchange of experience in the fields of housing and utilities, landscaping, digitalization, and land use.
As a result of the negotiations, mutual interest in deepening interregional dialogue and expanding practical interactions was confirmed.
