The deputy noted: “Some citizens did not manage to undergo legalization. I compiled a list of such people and submitted it to the Ministry of Economy, but I received a refusal, even before the verification was completed. Why not consider the possibility of a new legalization campaign?”
In response, Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev stated that the government already has a clear position on this issue, and the reintroduction of the program is impossible.
He explained: “Sufficient time was previously allocated for the legalization of vehicles. Special windows for citizens operated at the GRS. However, some of them did not demonstrate the necessary responsibility and did not complete the legalization of their cars. Now we cannot reintroduce this program.”
Amangeldiev also added that a new campaign could provoke discontent among Kyrgyzstan's partners within the EAEU.
“The issue of vehicle legalization has already caused significant discussions within the union, and we cannot explain the situation to our partners again. They may conclude that we are engaged in smuggling and not contributing to the common budget,” he concluded.
