The main part of the relocation of trading platforms is scheduled for the summer of 2026; however, the opening of the new complex near Fuchik Street and the Bypass Road is expected as early as spring. Kanibek Tumanbaev assured entrepreneurs that the old market will continue to operate as usual until the new site is fully ready. The authorities aim for the transition to go as smoothly as possible and not to cause social tension.
The president's chief of staff noted that the conditions at the new location will be significantly better than at the current one. Entrepreneurs will be offered an equal distribution of trading areas; first, those who already work at the Osh market will take their places, and then the remaining plots will be allocated to others interested.
The issue of transportation accessibility has also been resolved: the city authorities have purchased 180 new buses to ensure communication with the new trading hub. Tumanbaev assured that neither sellers nor buyers will face problems getting to the new market. The reform is aimed at creating modern conditions for trade and forming a new green zone in the city center.
