The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, held a meeting during the World Government Summit with Mohammed Hamad Al-Mehair, Executive Director of the Emirates Investment Authority sovereign wealth fund.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the meeting discussed opportunities for further cooperation between the two parties. Kasymaliev emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic is interested in partnering with the fund and is ready to provide information about major projects being implemented in the country.
“Kyrgyzstan is at a stage of significant changes, and we attach great importance to cooperation with large international institutions,” he noted. The head of the government reminded that Kyrgyzstan is located on an important transport artery connecting China and Central Asia, which opens up opportunities for integration into the Eurasian economic space. He expressed his intention to turn the country into a key hub for the flow of goods and services between China, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
Kasymaliev also pointed out the investment potential of Kyrgyzstan in areas such as transport and logistics infrastructure, energy, mineral resources, digital infrastructure, food security, and agribusiness. He highlighted the stable economic growth of the country over the past four years, which reached 11% by the end of 2025, one of the best results among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. It is important to note that improved credit ratings and increased revenues from taxes and customs indicate positive economic management and reduced risks for investors.
“We are open to working together on investments, attracting capital, and creating long-term partnerships,” Kasymaliev added.
Additionally, he invited the leadership of the Emirates Investment Authority to participate in the Investment Forum, which will be held in Bishkek in April of this year, as part of cooperation between the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia. In response, Mohammed Hamad Al-Mehair expressed readiness for further dialogue and discussion of specific investment projects and initiatives.
