As stated in the order, the Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic is authorized to sign agreements with the right to make amendments that do not affect the essential terms.
Key financing terms
- Loan from EBRD — up to €61.7 million
- Grant from EBRD — €3 million from the bank's special shareholders' fund
- The project is implemented through the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan
- The grant funds will be allocated for co-financing:
- €1.05 million — for the construction of the overhead power line;
- €1.95 million — for the construction of the 500 kV substation in Balykchy.
The project's goal is to enhance the reliability of the energy system in northeastern Kyrgyzstan, increase the capacity of trunk networks, and ensure sustainable electricity supply. The implementation of this project is expected to create conditions for further development of energy infrastructure and integration of regional energy networks.
Completion of all project works is scheduled for by the end of 2031.
