The Housing Committee approved in the first reading the temporary trade agreement of the EAEU with Mongolia

- At the recent meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development on February 2, 2026, the draft law "On the Ratification of the Temporary Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States, on one side, and Mongolia, on the other side," was presented and approved in the first reading. This agreement was signed on June 27, 2025, in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.

The purpose of the temporary trade agreement between the EAEU and Mongolia is to create favorable conditions for mutual trade, reduce tariff and non-tariff barriers, simplify customs procedures, and promote economic cooperation. The agreement provides for mutual granting of preferential tariffs on most goods, harmonization of technical regulations, as well as sanitary and phytosanitary measures, which contributes to the development of cooperation in key sectors such as agriculture, processing, transportation, and logistics.

The committee approved the draft law in the first reading.
