The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the U.S. Embassy discussed changes in American visa policy
On January 30, a meeting was held in Bishkek, organized by the Kyrgyz side, between the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Seytek Jumakadyrov, and the Head of the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Kate Collins.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that important aspects of bilateral consular cooperation were discussed at the meeting, with an emphasis on recent changes in the visa policy of the United States.
Kyrgyz representatives emphasized the importance of continuing a constructive dialogue on visa issues to find mutually acceptable solutions.
The American side also raised some points regarding compliance with the visa regime by Kyrgyz citizens, expressing interest in continuing discussions and joint work.
As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in the field of consular relations.
