Deputies Discussed the Agricultural Sector's Readiness for Spring Field Work
During the meeting of the "Mekenchil" parliamentary group on January 30, information was reviewed regarding the preparation of the agricultural sector for spring fieldwork in 2026.
Janibek Kerimaliev, the First Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, reported that preparatory work on irrigation facilities, as well as the provision of seeds, fertilizers, and fuel and lubricants, is being carried out according to the established plan.
During the discussion, the deputies touched upon a number of important issues, including the construction and restoration of irrigation systems, provision of irrigation water, as well as the availability of fuel and lubricants, mineral fertilizers, and preferential lending. Issues of phytosanitary control, the implementation of scientific developments in the agricultural sector, leasing of agricultural machinery, and the need for reforms to improve processing and regional development were also discussed.
In addition, information was presented during the meeting about the General Plan project for the city of Bishkek until 2050. Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov spoke about the current status of the preparation of this document, and the deputies discussed the procedures for its approval, changes to the "red lines," demolition of residential buildings, implementation of land amnesty, and preservation of certain provisions of the existing general plan.
