Deputies demanded to strengthen control over the quality of road construction

At the meeting of the parliamentary group "Adilet Kyrgyzstan," the appeal from the Ministry of Transport and Communications regarding the ongoing construction and reconstruction of strategic and local roads was discussed.

First Deputy Minister Beknazar Bazaraliev reported that the construction plan was not only fulfilled but also exceeded. With a planned 1,092 km, a total of 1,606 km was completed, of which 1,545 km were paved. Currently, 13 major road projects are being implemented in the country.

During the discussion, the deputies emphasized the need to enhance control over the quality of road construction, especially considering that many projects are financed through loans. Issues regarding the condition and completion timelines of several road sections in regions such as Naryn–Bayetov, Balykchy–Karakol, Osh–Sary-Tash–Erkesh-Tam, as well as internal roads in Batken, Jalal-Abad, and Issyk-Kul regions were also discussed.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport noted that work on some projects will be completed this year, while others are ongoing according to schedule.

At the conclusion of the discussion, the information from the Ministry of Transport and Communications was acknowledged.

Additionally, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry was presented regarding measures to improve the irrigation system and provide the population with drinking water. The deputies emphasized the importance of timely preparation of irrigation infrastructure for the start of the spring fieldwork.
