UN ambassadors highly praised Kyrgyzstan's contribution to global initiatives

At a meeting with permanent representatives of nine countries at the United Nations, held in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, discussed key aspects of cooperation and the country's achievements. The delegation of ambassadors representing Andorra, Gabon, Guyana, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Namibia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Chad, and South Sudan was on a working visit to Kyrgyzstan.

According to the foreign ministry, during the conversation, the minister provided detailed information about the reforms being implemented in the country in the socio-economic sphere, as well as upcoming events such as the SCO Summit and the VI World Nomad Games scheduled for 2026.

J. Kulubaev emphasized the importance of Kyrgyzstan's participation within the framework of the UN, highlighting that this organization holds a significant place in the country's foreign policy strategy. He also discussed Kyrgyzstan's initiatives and its interaction with other UN member states.

The ambassadors, in turn, highly appreciated Kyrgyzstan's contribution to promoting international initiatives related to climate change, sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, as well as issues of peace and security. They expressed their readiness to develop cooperation with Kyrgyzstan at both multilateral and bilateral levels.

The parties exchanged views on current issues of the international agenda, geopolitical changes, and cooperation in Central Asia, as well as other global topics.

As part of the visit program, the ambassadors toured winter tourism facilities, various government institutions to exchange experiences in modern technologies, and also visited the UN House and cultural landmarks of Kyrgyzstan.
