A new embassy of Kyrgyzstan will be built in Astana

As part of the new bill, which has been approved by the Jogorku Kenesh in three readings, mutual provision of buildings and land plots by Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in Astana and Bishkek for the needs of the embassies of these states will be established.

According to Almaz Imangaziev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the proposed measures aim to officially cement the reached agreement.

“Kazakhstan will provide a land plot in Astana for a period of 49 years for the construction of a new embassy of Kyrgyzstan, as well as a building with an area of 1267 square meters and a plot of 12 acres. In response, we are transferring a plot of 75 acres on Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue in Bishkek, where the embassy of Kazakhstan is located, as well as a cottage with an area of 531 square meters in the residential complex ‘Ala-Archa,’” he added.
