Professor Toghrul Ismail, a political scientist and expert in international relations, as well as the head of the Department of Political History at Kahramanmaraş University in Turkey, shared his thoughts with the Kabar agency regarding the policies implemented by President Sadyr Japarov since he took office.

Ismail noted that there is currently an emphasis in Kyrgyzstan on the implementation of social and economic projects. He also added that during Japarov's presidency, the number of the country's foreign political connections has significantly increased.

“The socio-economic sphere in Kyrgyzstan is under special attention. In recent years, there has been active implementation of infrastructure projects, as well as regional development and an increase in social payments. In addition, there has been a strengthened control over the effective spending of budgetary funds,” the expert emphasized.

In Ismail's opinion, Sadyr Japarov's presidential term can be characterized as a period of strengthening the foundations of statehood and searching for new paths of development. It is important for Kyrgyzstan to continue to support the achieved stability through institutions while simultaneously ensuring social support and flexibility in foreign policy. The reforms being implemented highlight the need for effective governance in the country.

As for foreign policy, under Japarov's leadership, Kyrgyzstan has established itself as an independent state. The increase in cooperation with Turkic countries such as Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the Central Asian states has contributed to enhancing international interaction from Bishkek and expanding opportunities for multi-vector diplomacy. This, according to the expert, aligns with the long-term interests of the country,” he added.
