- The Ministry of Justice has presented a draft law concerning the regulation of real estate activities, according to information from the department's press service.

The purpose of this document is to protect citizens from unscrupulous agents, hidden commissions, fraudulent schemes, and fake advertisements. It also aims to combat manifestations of so-called "wild real estate practices," which include unprofessional and opaque practices that often accompany transactions in the real estate market and create risks for consumers.

The draft law is part of an initiative to reduce bureaucracy and focuses on organizing real estate activities, as well as systematizing intermediary services in the real estate sector.

Main provisions of the draft law:

* mandatory state certification of realtors in accordance with established standards;

* introduction of an identification card for realtors, allowing citizens to verify the legality of their status;

* creation of unified standards for real estate services and standard contracts;

* transparent information about the status and powers of the realtor in transactions;

* prohibition of double commissions and restrictions on misleading advertising of real estate;

* responsibility for illegal real estate activities and non-compliance with established norms.

In addition, the draft law includes tax measures to limit speculative transactions in real estate.

It is expected that the adoption of this law will help organize the real estate market, increase citizens' trust, and create civilized conditions for honest participants, as reported by the department.
