The deputy proposed to extend the taxi licensing period, as only 7,500 out of 70,000 taxi drivers in Bishkek have obtained licenses.
He noted that the current validity period of licenses is set until February 1, 2026.
According to the deputy, currently only 7,500 taxi drivers out of a total of 70,000 in Bishkek have licenses.
Dastan Bekeshev emphasized that if the licensing periods are not extended, it could lead to an increase in unemployment and a rise in taxi service prices.
