During the meeting, key issues concerning bilateral cooperation in the field of statistics were discussed. In particular, emphasis was placed on support for improving statistical practices through experience sharing and joint efforts.
Baktybek Kudaybergenov noted that the National Statistical Committee has established long-term and productive relationships with British statistical authorities, especially in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals and other relevant areas.
“We are interested in studying the experience of the United Kingdom in the application of information technologies, as well as in effective approaches to the production of official data. It is also important to optimize business processes, utilize administrative data, develop statistics in the field of e-commerce and tourism, and improve the system of national accounts,” emphasized the Chairman of the National Statistical Committee.
