The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, visited the M. Adyshev Institute of Geology, which is part of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. During his tour, he received detailed information about the key areas of the institute's scientific research work, current projects, and the contribution of scientists to the study of the country's mineral resource potential and the development of geological science.
During the visit, Kasymaliev familiarized himself with the institute's library collection, unique exhibits in the museum, including dinosaur remains found in Kyrgyzstan, and also inspected the working premises and laboratories.
The institute focuses on fundamental and applied research in the fields of regional geology, mineral resources, physical geography, geoecology, and engineering geology.
Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of scientific research in geology for the stable socio-economic progress of the country. He also noted the significance of supporting both fundamental and applied science.
Furthermore, he highlighted the need to strengthen systemic interaction between ministries and scientific institutions to implement modern developments and technologies, which will enhance the effectiveness of addressing current challenges.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss issues related to the training of scientific personnel, material and technical support, and the prospects for the further development of the institute.
As a result of the visit, Kasymaliev issued a number of instructions to the relevant state bodies.
