
Adylbek Kasymaliev, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers, visited the M. Adyshev Institute of Geology, which is part of the National Academy of Sciences.
During his visit, he familiarized himself with the key areas of scientific research, current projects, and the significance of the institute in assessing the country's mineral resources.
The head of the government toured the library, the museum, which displays finds including dinosaur fossils, as well as the working offices and laboratories.
The institute conducts both fundamental and applied research in various fields, including regional geology, geoecology, mineral resources, and engineering geology.
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of geological research for the stable socio-economic growth of the republic and highlighted the need to support both fundamental and applied science. He called for the activation of cooperation between ministries and scientific institutions to implement new technologies and developments.
Issues concerning the training of scientific personnel, improving the material and technical base, and the future development of the institute were also discussed.
Following the visit, instructions were given to the relevant state bodies.
