In the Cabinet, the implementation of 12 investment agreements in the energy sector was discussed

- Today, January 21, 2026, a meeting dedicated to the implementation of investment agreements in the energy sector was held at the Cabinet of Ministers, as reported by the government press service.

Present at the meeting was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, as well as online participants including leaders from more than 15 companies involved in the construction of solar, wind, and hydroelectric power plants, as well as thermal power plants in the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the discussions, progress on 12 investment agreements concerning the construction of solar and wind power plants was reviewed, which will collectively provide 5,450 MW of capacity and are based on renewable energy sources. The implementation of these projects began in 2023.

Additionally, the participants analyzed three investment agreements for the construction of hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of 2,239 MW and three agreements for the construction of thermal power plants with a total capacity of 2,685 MW.

Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of investor participation in the development of the energy sector and the country's economy, calling on everyone to adopt a responsible approach and fulfill obligations under previously signed agreements.
