To attract experienced contractors, the project has been divided into three separate lots. The works for lots No. 1 and No. 2 will be carried out by the consortium DEC–SM (China/South Korea), while lot No. 3 will be implemented by the company Sinohydro Bureau 16 (China).
Currently, a number of significant works have already been completed at the Kambarata HPP-2 site:
- The main construction sites have been prepared and leveled, including areas for equipment installation, office, and temporary living quarters;
- The concrete work for the foundations of the contractors' offices and residential buildings has been completed;
- The installation of metal structures for office and residential buildings has begun, including load-bearing elements and roofs;
- A technical inspection of the water conduit for the second hydro unit and the compensator for the first has been conducted with the participation of design organizations;
- Preparatory work has been launched for the commissioning of the second hydro unit, which will ensure the transition to the main construction and installation works.
