Preparation for the launch of the second hydro unit of the Kambar-Ata HPP-2. What has already been done

The project for the commissioning of the second hydro unit of the Kambar-Ata HPP-2 is being implemented with the support of the Eurasian Stabilization and Development Fund. An important role in the technical support of the project is played by the international consulting company Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG.

The work is divided into three lots, and based on the results of international tenders, contractors have been selected for each direction:

lots 1 and 2 - consortium DEC–SM (China / South Korea);
lot 3 - Sinohydro Bureau 16 (China).

Within the framework of the project, important stages have already been completed:

coordination meetings have been held with the participation of all contractors and consultants;
the main construction sites have been prepared and leveled, including areas for equipment and temporary infrastructure;
the concreting of foundations for office and residential buildings has been completed, providing the necessary conditions for staff operations;
installation work on the metal structures of the buildings has begun;
technical inspection of the water conduit of hydro unit No. 2 and the compensator of hydro unit No. 1 has been conducted with the participation of designers;
preparatory work for the commissioning of the second hydro unit has also started, launching the main stage of construction and installation work.

According to JSC "Electric Stations," constant monitoring of the project's progress is being carried out in collaboration with contractors and engineering consultants to ensure compliance with the approved deadlines for the completion of work.
