The Parliament will consider amendments to the renewable energy law in January, including conditions for energy storage and the allocation of 1% of revenue to local authorities.

- According to the information posted on the official website of the parliament, the draft law amending the law "On Renewable Energy Sources" is scheduled for discussion in January 2026.

This draft law was submitted by the government at the end of September 2025.

Among the key changes, there is a provision that organizations operating in the field of renewable energy sources will be required to allocate 1% of their revenue from electricity sales to local budgets in the areas where their power plants are located.

In addition, it is planned to introduce a requirement for energy storage systems, which must constitute at least 30% of the installed capacity of power plants using renewable energy sources.
