The Parliament will consider amendments to the renewable energy law in January, including conditions for energy storage and the allocation of 1% of revenue to local authorities.
This draft law was submitted by the government at the end of September 2025.
Among the key changes, there is a provision that organizations operating in the field of renewable energy sources will be required to allocate 1% of their revenue from electricity sales to local budgets in the areas where their power plants are located.
In addition, it is planned to introduce a requirement for energy storage systems, which must constitute at least 30% of the installed capacity of power plants using renewable energy sources.
