Tajikistan Takes Over the Chairmanship of the CIS Aviation Council from Russia

- From January 1, 2026, Tajikistan has begun to fulfill its duties as the chair of the Council on Aviation and Use of Airspace of the CIS countries. The information was provided by the Executive Committee of the CIS, which referred to data from the Interstate Aviation Committee.

The powers presented were transferred to Tajikistan from Russia, which held this position from 2023 to 2025.

Tajikistan will lead the Council for three years.

"Russia's chairmanship ended in 2025, and now the post is passing to Tajikistan for the next three years," the IAC added.

According to the established procedure, starting from January 1, 2026, the Council will be headed by Habibullo Nazarzoda, the director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan.
