The Chairmanship of the EAEU Passes to Kazakhstan: New Integration Priorities Starting in 2026
In his address, he noted:
“Dear colleagues!
Starting January 1, 2026, the Republic of Kazakhstan will assume the chairmanship of the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The past year has been significant for our union, as we confidently enter the second decade of the EAEU's development. Despite the global challenges of recent years, our states demonstrate stable economic growth.
In the upcoming period, our common task will be to enhance the effectiveness of integration processes and strengthen the potential of the EAEU.
From 2026, the implementation of the Declaration on the Development of Economic Processes within the EAEU until 2030 and for the period until 2045, known as the “Eurasian Economic Path,” will begin. This strategic document will be a priority in our work.
In accordance with Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the EAEU, we propose to focus on several key areas.
Economic integration is an important tool for achieving tangible results in our cooperation: creating new production capacities, modern jobs, implementing innovative technologies, and developing free trade. During its chairmanship, Kazakhstan plans to actively promote the fulfillment of these tasks.
I am confident that only through joint efforts can we achieve the set goals and ensure sustainable development of the economies of the EAEU member states, as well as strengthen the overall potential of our integration union.”
