Queues of trucks have once again formed at the checkpoints "Ak-Tilek - Road" and "Ken-Bulun," as reported by long-haul drivers to Kaktus.media. According to them, this situation has been observed for a week and affects all types of vehicles, regardless of their country of registration.

Drivers note: "We let through vehicles with perishable goods without waiting in line, but others are forced to wait for several days. Problems arise at the border with Kazakhstan, while crossing the Kyrgyz border goes smoothly."

The traffic jams recorded on video confirm their words. Igor Golubev, deputy chairman of the Association of International Freight Carriers, told Kaktus.media that the congestion has arisen due to the tightening of inspection measures by the Border Service of Kazakhstan.

According to the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, Kaktus.media indicates that the increase in the number of trucks at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section is related to the traditional spring rise in cargo flow, particularly agricultural products exported from Kyrgyzstan to other countries.

So far, there have been no comments from the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan.
