As part of the state initiative to restore natural resources, 5,000 fry of Issyk-Kul trout have been released into the tributaries of the Suusamyr and Kokomerin rivers. The choice of the Suusamyr Valley for this action is due to the fact that its ecosystem is well-suited for the adaptation of this fish species.
This action is an important step in the state policy for the protection and reproduction of aquatic biological resources in the country. Experts note that stocking water bodies is considered one of the most effective ways to quickly restore fish stocks. Such measures not only contribute to improving the ecological situation but also support the sustainability of aquatic ecosystems and help preserve the biological diversity of the region.
The Department of Fisheries emphasized that this project also has significant economic potential. Increasing the fish population in the rivers of Chui region will create new opportunities for the development of local fisheries, which may positively impact the incomes of the valley's population in the future. It is planned that similar stocking will be regular and will cover other important water bodies in Kyrgyzstan.
Specialists from the department will continuously monitor the condition of the released fry. The Ministry of Agriculture is confident that a systematic approach to the reproduction of biological resources will not only restore the lost positions of Kyrgyz rivers but also turn fishing into one of the key factors for the growth of the country's agricultural sector.
