According to Doctor of Economic Sciences Tolonbek Abdyrov, the ability to produce currency independently is an important indicator of economic progress. In an interview with UTRK, he noted that the launch of the national currency is an exclusively positive event for the country.
The economist emphasized: “The launch of our own currency production is not just a technical step. It is a signal of our economic power, which has become possible since the moment we achieved sovereignty. Previously, we had to send currency abroad for printing, which was quite costly. Now that we can print money ourselves, this can be seen as a strategic achievement for Central Asia. It also ensures our security and is one of the significant successes,” he added.
