
The first batch of fresh carrots from Kyrgyzstan, weighing 20.7 tons, has been authorized for import into Perm Krai by the Perm Krai branch of the Rosselkhoznadzor. It should be noted that no such supplies were made during the same period last year. Specialists from the agency, together with experts from the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Phytosanitary Security, checked all accompanying documents and conducted laboratory tests. The results of the inspection showed that the product has a phytosanitary certificate and contains no violations or quarantine organisms.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, in 2025, the external trade turnover of the agro-industrial sector increased by 22% compared to 2024, amounting to 186,138.4 million soms, which is equivalent to 2,131.2 million US dollars. The export of agricultural and processing products last year reached 33,021.3 million soms, of which 7,045 million soms were from crop production.
Carrots play an important role in the structure of vegetable exports. In 2025, the volume of carrot supplies to foreign markets amounted to 8,405 tons. The main export destinations include six countries, with Russia leading at 4,546 tons, followed by Uzbekistan (2,610 tons), Tajikistan (849 tons), Mongolia (353 tons), Kazakhstan (38 tons), and Armenia (8 tons).
Since the beginning of 2026, carrot exports have already reached 1,013 tons, of which 902 tons were sent to the Russian Federation and 111 tons to the Republic of Kazakhstan. All exported products are accompanied by the necessary shipping and phytosanitary documents. The registration and control are carried out by authorized bodies in strict accordance with the requirements of the importing countries, ensuring free access for Kyrgyz agricultural products to the markets of Russia and other EAEU countries.
