The European Union did not import oil products from Russia for the first time in history in January.
Among the main suppliers of petroleum products to the EU were Saudi Arabia, the USA, the United Kingdom, India, and Singapore.
It is worth noting that in December 2025, the volume of imports from Russia amounted to 22.3 million dollars. Throughout the previous year, the European Union purchased petroleum products from Russia for a total of 166.8 million euros, which is almost half of the amount in 2024.
According to preliminary results for January 2026, the largest exporters of petroleum products to the EU were Saudi Arabia (877.5 million euros), the USA (725 million euros), the United Kingdom (346.7 million euros), India (263.4 million euros), and Singapore (216.2 million euros).
