
According to data from the National Statistical Committee, since the beginning of 2026, over 116 million passengers have been transported in Kyrgyzstan by various modes of transport.
From January to February, passenger traffic increased by 6 million 3 thousand people compared to the same period in 2025.
In the first two months of the current year, all types of transport in the country served 116 million 66.4 thousand passengers, which is 5.5 percent more than last year. The highest load was on road transport:
Freight Transportation
In the freight transportation sector, the volume of delivered goods amounted to 9 million 181.5 thousand tons, increasing by 7.1 percent compared to 2025. However, air freight showed a decrease of 18.9 percent, while road transport increased by 8.1 percent.
There is a significant growth in the logistics sector: the volume of postal and courier services increased by 28.5 percent, reaching 475 million soms. Communication services for the same period brought the economy 6.7 billion soms, which corresponds to a growth of 8.5 percent.
Meanwhile, the cost of transport services increased by 3.5 percent, which is related to the introduction of tolls for passage through strategic tunnels on the Bishkek — Osh and north — south routes.
