The Tax Service will write off tax debts incurred before 2022.
The Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service, Kubanychbek Isabekov, announced on the air of Birinchi Radio that tax and insurance debts incurred before 2022 will be written off.
Changes allowing this were made to the Tax Code last year in accordance with a presidential decree.
“Regarding the procedure for writing off taxes, a decision has been made that debts formed before 2022 can be written off provided there is no criminal case regarding this matter,” Isabekov clarified.
He also noted that the write-off may apply to other debts, including those for which there are already court decisions.
“Even if there is a court decision on other debts, they can also be subject to write-off,” he added.
Kubanychbek Isabekov emphasized that the State Tax Service plans to provide additional clarifications on the application of these norms at the local level. The agency will send a circular to all districts to simplify the decision-making process regarding write-offs within the framework of the law.
In addition, he reported that some decisions on write-offs have already been made in various areas, including issues related to the export of livestock to Uzbekistan and the purchase of agricultural products without the necessary documents.
