Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Isabekov stated on the air of "Birinchi Radio" that tax debts and obligations for insurance contributions that arose before 2022 will be written off.
He clarified that changes to the Tax Code were made last year in accordance with the decree of the country's president. "The decision to write off debts applies only to those obligations that arose before 2022, provided that criminal prosecution has not been initiated for them," added Kubanychbek Isabekov. He also noted that the write-off may also apply to other debts, even if there is already a court decision on them.
According to him: "Even debts for which there is a court decision can be written off."
Kubanychbek Isabekov also noted that the State Tax Service plans to provide additional information on the implementation of these norms at the local level. The agency intends to send a circular to all districts to simplify the decision-making process regarding write-offs and ensure it remains within the framework of the law. He also added that separate decisions regarding write-offs have already been made, concerning, for example, issues related to the export of livestock to Uzbekistan and the purchase of agricultural products without the necessary documents.
