The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has become the sole rights holder of the new trademark.
A combined trademark named "Ak Ilbirs" has been registered in Kyrgyzstan.
As reported by Urmat Sarypov, the chief specialist of the trademark examination department of the Ministry of Education and Innovations, the application for the registration of this brand was submitted on June 7, 2025.
Sarypov emphasized that the mark represents a combined version, which includes both an image and a verbal component. It has been registered across all 45 classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services, covering a wide range, including electronics, food products, and various services.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is now the sole authorized owner of the trademark and holds exclusive rights to permit or prohibit the use of the logo by other legal and physical entities.
According to the official, this allows for the control of the situation in the country, where goods coming from other states may be improperly labeled as "Made in KG" and then resold. National registration helps to curb such practices within Kyrgyzstan.
At present, "Ak Ilbirs" is protected only at the national level. To ensure its legal force abroad and prevent counterfeiting in international markets, registration under the international (Madrid) system is required, which is planned to be carried out in the near future,” Sarypov added.
